It all started when…

Southern Oregon photographer/filmmaker Kamrin Nielsen introduced himself to cameras in junior high and started making silly backyard dirt bike films, sponsor me videos, and eventually shooting highlight films for local motocross race track promoters in high school and college. After graduating with a B.S. in Business Management - Entrepreneurship from Oregon State University Kamrin committed to using his passion for photo and film and his business mindedness to start his company, Kamrin Nielsen Photo Video in 2013.

The business started small. Mostly shooting weddings, promo videos for local companies, and dabbling in real estate photography. At the same time Kamrin jumped into documentary filmmaking by shooting his first international doc in The Republic of Georgia.

Today, KNPV is an established and reputable photo and video marketing firm. He has worked with large and small brands all over the US, been published in multiple regional magazines, and continues to grow as a documentary filmmaker. Most recently, in 2017, Kamrin co-produced a short International doc in Cuba titled ‘Los Mambises’. The film has had some quiet success by being selected into 12 film festivals globally and earned them their first ever filmmaking award, ‘Best of Festival - Short Doc’, from the JukeBox International Film Festival in 2018.

The future is looking bright and Kamrin will continue to keep pushing to elevate his photography, filmmaking, and brand.
